What to photograph, and what to skip
One area per photo beats one photo of everything.
2.02.1
Photograph an area
When you want a lot in at once: one fridge shelf, one drawer pulled open, one pantry section, or the freezer basket lifted onto the counter.
2.02.2
Photograph a single item
When precision matters: a package with a printed date you want captured, a jar whose label is the only way to identify it, or anything easily mistaken for something else.
2.02.3
Do not bother with
Things you never track, single leaves of herbs, condiments you always have, or a container so full that nothing is visible.
A photo of a whole open fridge contains twenty half hidden things. A photo of one shelf contains six clear ones, and takes the same amount of time.
Capture three shelves in three photos, one after another. iWhisk offers Scan another location as soon as you save.
